Georgian 15ct Gold 'Bague au Firmament' Pearl, Diamond & Enamel Ring

This striking and unusual ring features a richly coloured royal blue enamel face, scattered with diamond-set silver stars that create a shimmering night sky effect. A border of white enamel frames the design, while soft pearls add contrast and delicacy. The ornate shoulders and thick band give the piece a substantial feel, and despite a slight historical alteration, it remains a beautifully preserved and rare example.

“Bague au firmament" refers to a style of jewellery inspired by the night sky, popular in the 18th and 19th centuries. Celestial motifs such as stars symbolised guidance, eternity, and the infinite, while the deep blue enamel evoked the vastness of the sky.
