A stunning Victorian pendant necklace, centred around a beautifully crafted pendant that began life as a brooch and has since been converted for wear as a necklace. The central pendant is fashioned in silver to enhance the soft, lively sparkle of the diamonds and is set with numerous old-cut diamonds of varying sizes, interspersed with small turquoise cabochons set into warm gold surrounds. At the centre sits a striking, large oval turquoise cabochon, drawing the eye and anchoring the design.

The pendant is suspended from an antique Victorian 9ct rose gold belcher chain, itself in very good condition and perfectly complementing the pendant. The overall quality and craftsmanship are outstanding, and the piece remains in beautiful antique condition, making it a refined and highly wearable example of Victorian jewellery.

Turquoise has long been prized for its protective and talismanic qualities, and in Victorian times, it was associated with good fortune, friendship, and safe travel. As December’s birthstone, it is also linked to wisdom, calm, and positive energy, making this pendant rich in both beauty and symbolism.
